One of my headlights is out on my 2000 Toyota Echo. The bulb is fine, but somewhere it's not getting juice. Any suggestions?

Some additional details: the light was out the other day and I assumed it was the bulb. When the tech went to remove the bulb, it came on. He said it was probably just loose. Now that it is out again, I'm assuming it is still not the bulb, but also that it isn't just loose. I removed the bulb and reconnected it. And I did clean the contacts (which were pretty much covered in goop). Still no luck.

Clean the contacts between the light and where it meets the harmness.

The bulb actually lights up on the other side? or you just looked at the filiment and thought it looked good? Each high and low beam should have a fuse. But I would purchase two new silver star Silvania bulbs. Hours on these bulbs the other is about to fail.

the "goop" is dielectric grease which prevents moisture from rusting the contact points.

If it came on when he touched it, then I believe there's a loose connection in the harness where the bulb plugs into it!! Either way, there's definitely a short somewhere

if you are sure that the bulb is ok then start looking into the wiring of that bulb.

Make sure the wires are not loose or cut/burnt.
