Join for FREE, but pay a Posting fee for each item.
I recommend that you try to sell a couple of cheap items first. Not JUNK, but low cost stuff to give you some experience and POSITIVE feedback. You see, nobody buys expensive stuff from someone with no feedback.
Consider selling at these sites that do not charge a POSTING FEE.

You don't need to pay to sign up to sell, but you need to pay a sellers fee when you put anything up for sale. This is based on the starting price and any extras you may want (extra photos, your item put in more than one category). You then pay some more money based on what you finally sell it for.

No....just sign up and go. You will need to get a PayPal account to receive money though.
