Hockey is somewhat of a "cult" sport in that in an area where people play, everyone knows each other. Think 3-degrees of separation instead of 6. I started playing as an adult and have become a hardcore hockey fanatic. I go to camp in Minnesota each year and one of my kids playes travel hockey. Now my wife has started. I cannot think of a sport that is more fun to play. Hockey is awesome, and yes, people care about it. (A year or two ago it was the number one growth sport among females by the way).

What do you think if you're asking this in the hockey forum? If you don't care about hockey, then go to the football or baseball section, American. A true Canadian has hockey running in their blood!!

Yey I do do tou have a problem Hockey ruls why don't you worry about you self and for your info hockey is a high contact sport with lot of hiting and fighting so if your noy interested you must be a wimp. pluss you datermain the play offs the same whay in every sport. So there.

Come visit Canada. It is our national sport and a very big deal in most Canadian cities.
If by chance you are a Canadian, you would already know that perhaps you don't care about hockey, but most Canadians do in some form or another. Either they play it, their kids do, ot their spouses are into it. After all, we don't have hockey night in Canada because no one cares about it.

how u dont like hockey..i have no clue. but its THE BEST SPORT ever. so dont b talking..i think hockey players and fans r most passionate about the sport..i no so many people//actually everybody except 1 person who likes soccer just everyone else does..its not really a passion thing..more like a copy cat thing. i see u dont like phyical sports..how boring
