When Ed and Shaun are sitting in the Winchester after Liz dumps Shaun, Ed starts telling stories about the other patrons in the bar. Ed says that Snakehips is a bigamist who strangled his wife with a "draft excluder" and then invented the "mobile disco." What is a draft excluder, how would you strangle someone with it, and what is a mobile disco?

Being that I'm an American, I always have trouble with English English. :-)

LOL---oh man, when I tried to think of what a draft excluder might be, the only thing I could come up with was a piece of paper exempting someone from serving in the military! LOL

Silly me. :-D

Draught Excluders come in different types. It can be the 'bar' at the bottom of a door to stop the wind from coming in. It can be a sausage type pillow which goes on the floor inside a door to stop the air from blowing under. Most likely what he was talking about is a rubber strip that goes between the frame of a door and the door itself to prevent draughts coming in. As for a mobile disco, I havn't a clue...........

Hey a little bit of English English help for you.
If you have the DVD of Shaun, Check out the deleted scenes that whole bar scene is totally ad-libed. They do like 7-10 different takes trying to outdo the last one. Even if you don't understand what they mean it all makes sence in the long run.

A mobile disco is a guy who you hire to come to your party with tape decks, turntables and lots of records, CDs etc and he then performs the function of a DJ at a disco.
