You have asked this question many times. Have the answers you've gotten not been the ones you are looking for?

See your doctor if you are pregnant and feel the need to take laxitives. Read the box, there are usually warnings for or against use of medications during pregnancy on the box. Eat a great big greasy meal, that always works for me. Drink tons of apple juice, that will work eventually. Eat some prunes, for crying out loud!! I called my OB (which you should have already done since this seems to be such a major problem for you) when I was painfully constipated while pregnant and I was told to eat prunes. Try some... they taste horrible (to me, at least) but they can work wonders!

You have asked and had answers to this same exact question so many times... what was wrong with the answers that you received before? I don't understand. I mean, I understand asking a question. But when you have asked the same EXACT question so many times, I would think that even if you are simply looking for someone to tell you, "Yeah, sure go ahead, you'll be fine!", you would have that answer several times over.

Good luck... it sounds like you'll need it.

NO! Don't use laxatives during pregnancy! I found that eating apples kept me nicely regular. Get as much roughage in your diet as possible because constipation is a side-effect of pregnancy. For me, the apples were a godsend.

I was told by my doctor to avoid that product during pregnancy. They told me to take Colace (or the generic version) that is available at your pharmacy. Colace is a stool softener, not a laxative, there is a difference.

I was placed on bedrest at 26 weeks. My OB instructed me to use stool softeners, as did the medical staff when I was hospitalized for a month prior to giving birth.

During pregnancy I would never take over the counter medicines until I called the doctor's office and asked.
