Can be reduced to:
7y - 4
(The "y" terms can be combined).

6y-4+y
This should be a fairly easy equation. If you are solving for y you need to combine like terms. I'll give an easier example. 2x+40-(-6x)=100. First you have to rewrite the equation since minus negative is the same as plus. The equation rewritten is 2x+40+6x=100. Now combine like terms (2x and 6x, because both are whole numbers with the same variable,x). Because both are positive you add them and the equation becomes 8x+40=100. Now you isolate the variable, to do this you minus 40 from both sides (because it's plus 40, if it was minus 40 you would add). Now the equation is 8x=60. You must once again isolate the variable. To do this you divide 8 into both sides (because it's multiplying 8 and x, which is 8x, if it were divinding you'd multiply). The answer becomes x=7.5.
I hope this helps.

The other answers can work too but another way u can write it is 2 (2s+2). If u distribute that it comes out to 4s+4.

You can't help him with this simple stuff, mom? (Not knocking, just asking; it seems like simple stuff that most adults can or should be able to do.)
Don't know of any free websites, though, sorry!
