Take 10 to the nth power to be 10^n; then
7.2 x 10^6/1.2 x 10^-7 = (7.2/1.2) x 10^(6+[-7]) = 6 x 10^(6-7) = 6 x 10^(-1) = 0.6

basically you can do regular math.
you're gonna divide 7.2 / 1.2
now you're gonna subtract the powers of scientific notation. Just think of them as large exponents so x10^6 - x10^-7 = 10^13

if you were multiplying you would add your exponents

therefore answer

6 x 10^13

good luck with you next question

(7.2*10^6)/(1.2*10^-7) = (7.2/1.2)((10^6)/(10^-7) =
(6)*(10^6)*(10^7) =
6*10^13
