everything asks for fees. is there anywhere to take the government test for free?

Any post office that has openings will ask you to go to the main office for that area and get applications and /or check there for openinigs. why dont you check: usps.com?

United States Post office (USPS) job opportunities are available on the usps.com employment web site. There are exam requirements for some positions, .here is a great place to get some info
