Why do we need government?

To establish Justice, insure domestic Tranquility, provide for the common defense, promote the general Welfare, and secure the Blessings of Liberty to ourselves and our Posterity..

The government is necessary so that the people have a representation in what gets done in the country. Without government it would simply be a bunch of angry people not thinking straight because of their emotions screaming at each other about what they want to be done or changed

We need government for social control and conflict management. We need the government to help resolve conflicts, provide justice, provide security, and regulate the under classes. The latter being pivotal for a healthy capitalist system.

Look at the government like the Mafia, but at the top of the league table. We don't need government, government need us. They are parasites, they live off the people

I live in New Orleans, and from the response I saw from city, state and federal government agencies during Hurricane Katrina, they are totally WORTHLESS.
