Stop them from what?
I am a PWC with 2 boys and an ex-husband who won't pay Child Support for his own children!
His reasoning...I work so why should he support them!
Now rather than me go on about your responsibility...which I'm sure as a parent you would not wish to shirk...what exactly are you wanting them to stop doing...cos I would like them to actually do SOMETHING for my kids...my ex owes over £6000 in arrears and it seems an unlikely possibility of me getting anything!
As for the CSA being disbanded...NO...it hasn't been..its been rehashed which means cases like mine are in yet more hands who claim no experience of it yet (surprise surprise)

If you are bringing up a child who has a parent living somewhere else in the UK or working abroad for a UK based employer, the other parent is legally responsible for providing financial support for their child.
The Child Support Agency (CSA) calculates and collects maintenance from parents who do not live with their child(ren)—the amount you get will depend on the income of the parent who does not live with the child(ren). The Child Support Agency usually collects payment if the parent with care of the child is receiving Income Support or income-based Jobseeker’s Allowance. Otherwise the Child Support Agency will only get involved if either parent asks them to.
Contact the Child Support Agency for more information and an application form on: 0845 7 133 133. The line is open from 8.00 am to 8.00 pm, Monday to Friday and 8.30 am to 5.00 pm, Saturday. Those wishing to deal with the Agency in Welsh can contact the Welsh Helpline on 08457 138091 for general and case specific help and advice. The lines are open from 9.00am to 5.00pm from Monday to Friday. Calls are charged at local rates.
If you are unhappy with the service you receive from the Child Support Agency, contact The Independent Case Examiner (ICE). The ICE can deal with complaints about the way a case was handled by the CSA, and examine the actions (or inactions) of the agencies and bodies within its jurisdiction.

If your looking to complain good luck. The ICE very raley do anything as there is a lenghty complaint procedue to endure before they will even look at it. Problem mainly is they people who answer the phone dont give a crap and do very little to help other than pass the buck.
Disgrunted me yes. I have had a complaint in and still ongoing for over a year. So far i have recieved over 1k in refund but still they continue to take what they call arreers. An what i call theft as the arrers dont exist Ive no been told its a computer failure an am getting another refund. The circus continues...
My answer destroy em all a absolute waiste of time and crazy sexist set up..

Pay child support. I think a better question would be 'how do we stop people from having children and then refusing to take responsibility for them?' It is a damning indictment of a society when men who father children and then abandon them are regarded as normal blokes and it is OK, whereas the women they have left as single parents are social pariahs, discriminated against, judged and scorned. Actions have consequences, adults take responsibility (it is what being a grown up is about) and if you don't fancy the responsibility try celibacy or sterilisation rather than leaving other people to deal with your problems.

this depends on your circumstances. If you have remarried, and have another child from that marriage, it is possible to stop them taking all your money.
