Do you realize when doctors prescribe medicine, it's not to cure you. It's only to alleviate your symptoms? Doctors don't plan on curing you because then they won't make money off the drugs they prescribe. They make money off of sick people. They don't make any money off of HEALTHY people.
And when you do more research on your illness/disease and want to take herbs or eat Broccoli to eliminate the illness, the doctors just laugh at you and think their drugs are the only way to help and not herbs.

If not all doctors are like that, how come I don't see them? Hmm?

I cured myself off of an illness I had. I got tired of taking drugs. The doctors threatened me by telling me if I don't take the drugs, that I'm gonna get worse or die. I ended up curing myself, by changing the way I think, the way I ate, etc. without the drugs. I took charge of my own body. I have yet found a doctor who supports healing.

To that poster named "trey"- You say doctors are sincere? Do some research first. I don't think drugs is the answer.

YOU SOUND JUST LIKE MY HUSBAND TALKS ALL OF THE TIME. I AGREE TOO. I'VE SEEN WAY TOO MANY DRUGS GIVEN TO PEOPLE WHO DON'T ASK QUESTIONS AND JUST TAKE MORE MEDS. WE NEED TO BE IN CHARGE OF OUR OWN BODIES.

I don't know of any herbs that can cure asthma and eating broccoli sure isn't going to help. There are a lot of things out there that can't be cured by herbs, but there are some things that can be cured by herbs. When a person goes to see the doctor they want something to make them feel better. There for medication is given. Doctors don't claim to know everything. I haven't met a doctor yet who thinks he can cure the world. Doctors help people the best to their knowledge. They have more schooling in health than I plan on doing (they go to school for 10 + years). Maybe you're just seeing the wrong person.

Why do you go to the doctor at all if you think they are quacks? They go through very extensive schooling and training to help treat diseases and conditions that wreak havoc on the human body. See how long you live if you get a terminal illness or have a serious accident and don't seek a doctors help. Besides they don't make money off the drugs they prescribe. The drug companies do.

Not all doctors are like that. I am still in my young teens but i want to become a doctor when i grow up not for the money but becuase 3 of my grandparents died of the same cancer.
Why do people always look on the bad side of everything? Does everyone just not see the good.

That's why my primary physician is an NP----& why I, as an RN make a point of trying to educate people to all the options available, & advocate for them when it comes to dealing w/ the docs. Most peeps are intimidated by doctors, & won't speak up with questions or concerns. That's where I come in!! LOL!!
There are some really wonderful physicians out there---a few of them are even non-arrogant surgeons! HAHAHAHA!!
So, until you find one of them, I'd suggest getting educated, & confident in talking to a doctor---or just befriending a really cool nurse!!!

Unfortunately, many disease are incurable, so physicians can only treat the symptoms and not cure you. Drugs are not always the only answer, but it's the only way "they" know how to treat you.

they are trained to think of things in the manner of sick = medicine to cure symptoms. that is medical school, learning about drug interactions and when to prescribe and what. they don't learn about broccoli.
