W + 1 + L*X - X ... distribute the X
1 + W + L*X -X ...
1 + w + x*(L-1) is really the most simple form...
Your notation is extremely ambiguous. I have NO IDEA what the heck equation you want simplified. Please use parentheses and proper notation next time and I might be able to help you.

I think you mean
a) Simplify (w+1)+(L-1) multiplied by X
and
b) Simplify (w+1) multiplied by X+(L-1)
For a)
Expand the brackets, since it's all addition and subtraction you can ignore the brackets and you get
(w+1)+(L-1) = w + 1 + L - 1
Gather like terms together and you get
w + L + 1 - 1 = w + L
now the multiply bit
w + L multiplied by X can be written
(w + L) X
Everything in the brackets must be multiplied by the X
(w + L) times X = w times X + L times X
or in other words
wX + LX
b) This is harder
Start with the X + (L-1)
Again since it's all plus and minus here we can ignore the brackets and you get
X + L - 1
Now you want to multiply (w + 1) by this so you write
(w + 1) times (X + L - 1)
Everything in the left hand bracket must be multiplied by everything in the right hand bracket
(w + 1) must be Multiplied by the X, the L and the -1
So you get
X times (w +1) + L times (w + 1) + (-1) times (w + 1)
or
X(w + 1) + L(w + 1) + (-1)(w + 1)
Expand the brackets for all these
Xw + X1 + Lw +L1 + (-1)w + (-1)1
or
Xw + X + Lw + L -w -1
It's very messy. I suggest you get your teacher to go through this with you.

You've written the question really quite badly - I can't work out at all what you mean.
