I'm of the opinion (which could of course be wrong) that belief has a tendency to close down your curiosity and improve your comfort-level, while doubt opens up your curiosity and lowers your comfort-level. In such a complex universe, I also think that comfort is an unwise thing to feel. I can't say I believe or doubt everything, but I have a tendency towards doubt. Even the things I believe in, like the human spirit and the evolution of complex organisms from simpler ones, are qualified with the idea of being true 'as far as I can see,' or 'as far as we know.'

Doubt and the question-mark, I think, will always be with me. Belief is harder to maintain when you look humanity in its dark eye.

This is a better question than folks are giving it credit for. It reminds me of the time somebody asked me "Are facts true?"

The problem with everything is that everything is subjective. For example; without making reference to an object, describe a colour. How would you describe "Red" without referring to something visible?

How can you be sure that what you see as the colour red is the same colour as anyone else is seeing? They might just call it red, but it could be a completely different colour. If we can't even agree on the colour of shite, how can we believe anything?

I believe in God...

And i doubt everything else except that which can be proved by logic.

I'm a math and science kind of girl...

Plus, i do think that everything is relative.

It depends. If you mean believe everything like any religion, no. I am a lutheran and that's it. But, I do believe most everything is possible. If you believe in yourself, you can do it.
