Be honest I have never found anything to work fast on my cramps. I've used over the counter stuff but it still takes awhile for it to kick in.

Try a heat pack like Magic Bag on your belly, Advil Liqui-gels, or something like Midol. Also make sure you get lots of iron and B vitamins, esp. B6, the week before you're due.

I use a heating pad... it works a lot faster than pain relievers. Then I remember to take 3 Advil every 4-6 hours so that they don't come back.

I went of the birth control pill to help because I have endometriosis. Works wonders.
Muscle relaxers work great too!

Naproxen sodium. You can get it from your pharmacy or even Walmart carries it.
