I love Sarah Dessen. (She's definitely in my top three favorite YA writers.) Just Listen is a good book, I read it in the summer and really liked it. Dessen is one of the few writers I trust well enough to buy at the store without reading it at the library first. In some ways it is similar to Speak. But it is unique enough too I think. It features classic Dessen trademarks of great characters and a nice quality romance. (I like it when writers take their time building relationships and making them unique). My personal favorite Dessen book is The Truth About Forever. It was the first book I read by her, I quickly sought out all of her other titles as well, and since then I've been hooked.

Love Sarah Dessen. I've read This Lullaby and Just Listen...and something else I can't remember. Just Listen was good, I'm sure you'll like it. Read This Lullaby when you're done; it's a bit of a prequel to Just Listen (a few characters in JL are the main characters in TL).

I just read, Keeping the Moon. Awesome, I felt that the characters were real people and I just had to keep reading!

yeah, i really like her books. Another author similar to her, i find, is megan mcCafferty. She wrote Sloppy Firsts, Second Helpings and Charmed Thirds, and they are hilarious, really really good books.
