I try to be very careful when I generalize about anything, especially when I'm one of the parties involved. I have a terrible tendency to believe whatever I feel is how everyone else must be (deep inside), too.

I'm a happy bisexual, and I just don't "get" monosexuals. How can they not at least give it a thought? Seriously! It's a favorite signature of about everyone on sites like bisexual.com to quote Gore Vidal and others, saying that everyone's a little bit bisexual. And I love that. I like the idea of it, because it's more true to how I WANT the world to be.

Unfortunately, the world doesn't change on my account. Even though we think they're lying, or repressed, just haven't found the right someone, etc., etc., there are some people who are truly one hundred percent straight, or one hundred percent gay. Their minds never stray over to the sex that they exclude, and if they do, the reaction is boredom and disgust. It's just the way it is.

Now, I do believe that the majority of people aren't so 100 percent. They may be 90, 70, 50 percent inclined to whatever they state they are. That's why, isn't it, that Kinsey invented a scale- so we could accomodate these in-between people without slapping an untrue label on them. I'm sure most people have at least given a thought to the same or opposite sex- whether they fully embraced it, considered but tossed it away, ran as far from the idea as possible, or whatever, it's come up. How could it not in a society that has such vocal gays presenting the idea before us?

But no, not everyone's queer. Just a lot. That's my thought on the matter, at least.

Any male who likes to watch Brad Pitt could be said to be a bit queer, but they will deny that the label is appropriate. Homoerotic is the buzzword used now to admit such feelings are more common than not.

Movies like Troy and Alexander were clear attempts to capitalize on those tendencies. Clear evidence of their effect in evoking homoerotic fantasies in the viewers was when male friends who went to see those films often chose to sit one seat apart from each other. I know I did.

Well i see someone gave me a thumbs down even though I didn't say everyone was a bit queer, or even homoerotically challenged. It has to have been a Brad Pitt fan, or why would he need to disagree? It's probably the guy who goes to the gym, works out, takes a shower and sneaks a peek at the guy nearby who has an enviable schlong on display. He then says, "Gee I wish I had one like that - I'm sure it would help with the women as I have a feeling they would like that one - I know if I was a woman I'd like to have a go at that one - I don't really want to know how I know that of course."

I haven't thought about other dudes, but i have friends who sometimes find other guys attractive. I don't think it makes you gay. Your only gay if you want to have a relationship with the person. In general though, i think everyone at some point thinks about screwin someone of the same sex.

Fantasized? No. But I'm secure enough in my sexuality to admit that I have found others of the same sex attractive. Most women do. And with the amount of sex (including gay sex) that permeates the televison and radio (for example Britney and Christina kissing Madonna on MTV, Diana Ross playing with Li'l Kim's tit, Ricky Martin surrounding himself with half naked members of both sexes in his videos, and so much more it would take days to list), it wouldn't surprise me if more people were having the kinds of fantasies you're talking about. Especially when the media keeps pounding it into their heads that "there's nothing wrong with it."

Hmmm... To put it in the words of Alice (Leisha Hailey) from the L Word:

"Most girls are straight, until they're not. And some girls are gay until they're not."

I think it works the same way for men too sometimes, but I find women are more "flexible."

I believe everyone has the potential to be a little "queer."

I am a true red blooded female and would only ever have a sexual relationship with a man. Yes I find certain other women attractive, and can admire their beauty, but could never think about even kissing one. No, sorry, were not all a bit queer.
Can you be a bit queer? I thought it was all or nothing.

I disagree. I think we're all a little strange - something that makes us *unique* - but we don't all harbour homosexual desires.

Oh, and I've done more than just fantasize about someone of the same sex :)

Whether they are or not, I've decided that in my head they are. If I have to deal with people automatically assuming I'm straight, then they can deal with having to correct ME for once.

That's what I believe - all are to some degree bi except for the small minority who are totally straight or totally gay :) Why else would so many make such a big deal about homosexuality? I mean if it meant absolutely nothing to them, why care? I don't care if people are straight, lol, I'm perfectly comfortable in my homosexuality!
