I agree with several of the others here...I think it's a little of both. whether they are in denial and struggling with their own sexuality, because they've been raised in homophobic families, or they are just mean, ignorant hateful people.

probably a little of both. People who have a strong dislike for homosexuality probably battle with the temptation to engage in the act. Some people are just mean and they think that everyone should adopt their values because they must be smarter than everyone that is different or maybe they think that because they feel like they have to conform to someone else's beliefs, that everyone else should too. Maybe we should be nice, and tell them they don't have to live according to someone else's beliefs. Or we can let them live in their own meanness.

no. some are mean by calling the gays fags, telling them God doesn't love them and by telling them that they will go to hell. I don't think that's right. But I don't support homosexuality but I wouldn't call them bad names. Gays are just like everyone else. And therefore should be treated like everyone else, except they shouldn't have the right to marry or to adopt. But I am definetly not a closet case.

i'd say fifty fifty. the worst is when they try to act like what they do is ok because it's what the bible says. just stand up for yourself and don't take crap from anyone. peace!

i knew someone who is like that, they had a real fear of being called gay becuase their dumb group of friends used it as some sort of intimidation thingy. usually its weak people who harass others
