their musk glands are removed before you buy them so they dont stink as much. you can use Bi-Odor (sold at pet stores) in their water. i have a ferret and it makes a HUGE difference. he doesnt stink as much. he still has a musky smell but it is not bad at all.

Tell your mom that you will keep the ferret in your room. I am sure that soon she will see how cute, smart and sweet they are and not be upset.

2. If you know anyone with a pet ferret,...ferret sit for 2 or 3 hours and your mom might enjoy the cute little pets. She then might not be upset if you get one.

3 some pet stores let you take them home is you pay....but have it writen on the receipt that your have two day to bring it back and then you get the Cash back.

Ferrets are nasty. My friend just got one and she said she wanted a ferret since we were around 7, now she hates it. Get a guienea pig. I LOVE mine sooooooo much. They are neat and clean. My guinea pig cleans herself like a million times a day. Just don't get a ferret, they are evil and squirmy, or get a greyhound. We have one of those and she is the sweetest thing. Ignore the lies, because they nevere run and they sleep all day. They are extremely affectionate and are the longest living large breed of dog. We have had ours for the best 5 years ever

I agree with your mother. Ferrets are A LOT of work and the do smell. Your probably gonna have to wait until you move out. How about a turtle?

i have the same story. i want a dog really really badly, but my dad just says no. you can sit them down and talk about the pros and cons about a ferret and prove ur "maturity and responsibility." that sometimes works.

this is probably going to be a tuff on cause alot of parents feel this about them honestly you would probably have better luck choosing another pet or try to tell her you'll keep it in your room

You can have one when you're 18 and moved out apparently, so atleast you know you can get one eventually.

I hate to break it to you but as long as you live in your parents house then they have the final say.
