Britain has created more new countries than any other, built the biggest empire the world has ever seen, invented more new products than any other nation on Earth, and found the cure to more diseases and illnesses than anyone else.

Margaret Thatcher introduced a new philosophy when she declared "There is no such thing as society". So after destroying our industrial wealth and selling the family silver, there was nothing left for future generations. Members of Parliament got the green light to use their positions to become millionaires and the artificial self interest society was born. Gone was the One Country One Culture. Replaced my multicultural, dysfunctional hard core of nothing, without roots. Even our borders were abandoned. Only the people can restore control. Who else is left when the Fat-Cats and rats abandon the sinking ship.

Dog eat dog, no one gives a toss anymore. politicians come in take all the cream off the top and...bye then, i'm alright jack!! We have'nt done ourselves any favours on soft policies either!! I can see we will run out of work before long? I feel this is only the tip of the iceberg, i really dont see much of a future for our rock!!! We had so much and turned it all in, "what happened to the post war dream" Roger Waters (Pink Floyd) the final cut. take a listen sometime.

The Empire is gone, given back to the people who it belongs to. The "We are the greatest" attitude does not work any more. We need to continue to work towards being the best and not just sit on our backsides waitng for it to happen as if by right!

We have a lot to be proud of! We invented: the toilet!, the post office, stamps, fire brigade, fire engines, the TV, the phone (He was a Scot!), the train etc. The toilet though! WOW!
when I see people burning our flag on TV I always think 'Ahh haa we are still important somewhere!' They may of spent all night drawing it and colouring it in (often wrongly) but its the thought that counts! Somewhere in the world they still hate us! Oh its good to be English!
Oh and to the wally who blames America shame on you!! Americans are the BEST! And have defended us enough times to deserve some support!

I understand that you also have laws in place that prevent people from speaking openly about such things as immigration and cultural rivalry. People who complain or criticize can be imprisoned; like that girl who was arrested for refusing to study with those four Muslim students.
I'm willing to bet that your problem is much the same as the rest of the West; we've lost our confidence in what used to be our culture. Now, foreigners and liberal activists criticize with impunity and undermine our institutions.

I think it isn't so bad. We have the lowest interest rates for years and low unemployment comapred to other countries. However I am the eternal optimist plus there's always some one worse off. Chin up. It could be worse....we could have Cameron as PM.

This country was never anywhere near as great as you appear to think it was. However, in the last 25 years, there's no doubt that it's gone down the pan - ever since (first) Margaret Thatcher then Tony Bliar decided that Britain should go "The American Way..."
Now we've got American Junk Food - American Obesety - American Crime - American Drug-Culture and American Gun-Law. Plus lousy schools and loads of people running around who can only communicate in sign-language... (In other words - they're dumb...!!!)

It's this stinking Political Correctness! Everything has to be PC in england now! The constant immigration of other nationalities doesn't help either but the Labour government is to blame, they let them in!
I read that by the year 2100 genuine, white British people will be in the minority IN THEIR OWN COUNTRY!!!!!
