Saw 1-This film was, in my opinion, exciting, thrilling, and an overall entertaining film to watch. It delivered the necessary chills, to keep its audiences fully awake, and engaged. This was an enormous achievement for Aussie newcomers – James Wan, and Leigh Wannell. The two have created a well-deserved horror/thriller, without the necessary clichés.The film is not too scary that it becomes unwatchable, so the full potential of its enormity will not be missed. definitely two thumbs uo for me.
Saw 2-The first Saw really through me through some spins and caught me off guard for originality, Saw 2 is leagues above the first. Saw 2 runs with the same game based theme as the first, with clues for both the characters and the audience about what might happen next, but it takes the game to a completely different level. Just when things start to come together there is another twist to leave the viewer on the edge of their seat for what may come next. Without seeming to give everything away the movie was made to give it all away, but no one can catch all the clues because they have been pulled so deep into the movie. I highly recommend this one.
Saw 3-Surprise! There is a horror series that holds up well, even on the second sequel.
It's difficult to explain the plot in any detail without ruining the storyline, so instead, I give you small chunks. A doctor must keep Jigsaw alive. If he dies, so does she. A grieving father must decided what he will do when confronted with the people that changed his life for the worse. Saying anything else about the story line is just criminal.
Like the 2 movies before it, difficult decisions and some nasty secrets become a part of a much larger plan. It manages to explain events in Saw 1 and 2 that may have been considered plot holes. It spins the whole concept of the Jigsaw character and what he represents, and the message he is trying to say. By carefully placing events from the past in a certain order, and by introducing important sequences of the character's lives, Saw 3 manages to become a pivotal point to the series. It's not perfect, though. Constant flashbacks to memories becomes a bit tiresome. Some of the dialog could be a combination of dry, repetitive, or dumb, or all of the above. And oh yes, there will be the improbable & illogical. Big critics will focus on this, and consider the movie a waste of time.
Of course, you can toss out the psychological-babble, tell the critics to go back to their coke snorting, and just have fun watching the movie as pure horror. Of the three, this is ultimately the most bloodiest. Those of low tolerance of gore, medical procedures and general dismemberment beware: the movie theater I went to here in Winter Springs had one movie-goer faint and fall to the floor. They had to temporarily stop the movie and take her outside, an ambulance came, and took her away. Even with this interruption, the movie kept everyone awake, wanting to see more. By the end of the movie, the audience clapped. We liked what we SAW. "What has the world come to?", you say? Geez. You are in the wrong place. I'm sure there will be some Disney movie to your liking.
The traps were clever, original, and far, far deadlier this time around. To me, it beats out any psycho with a knife/ax/chainsaw crap movie that has been pumped out too many times. It's a shame that Saw producer Gregg Hoffman passed away before this movie was produced.

Saw I in my opinion was incredible. It was inventive and original. It was more independent and less big budget so there was no hidden agenda to lure people into the audience with lots of famous actors. It was a refreshing horror movie. With Saw II there was more of an agenda as the first had been such a hit and those in the industry feel that people should capitalize on hits. It wasn't as interesting as the first in my opinion. But in the end there was a twist just like the first. The third saw was really gory in my opinion. The way people were tortured really outdid the first two in my opinion but there was a little twist...
spoiler sort of...
There was no real way to get out of the tortures in th third one. In the first two it was up to the individual to redeem him or herself and there was usually a way to escape the torture. As Jigsaw said he doesn't kill the people they end of killing themselves. In the last saw the pain was inflicted more by another individual who other peoples lives in hand. Redemption was still the theme but the end in my opinion wasnt' that much of a twist as much so as Saw I and II.

Saw- It was fantastic. Not only was it gory, but it had a great twist that nobody expected. 9/10!
Saw II- Better than the original! I thought it had almost all of the elements to make up a great horror film. 9/10!
Saw III- A little disappointed. Although it was good, it didn't hold up to expectations! 7/10
