Because of his popularity. The NASCAR organization is greedy so they feed off of things that bring them more money. He is a good driver, but not as great as they play him out to be.

If Nascar favors Dale Jr wouldn't he be a multiple time Cup series champion by now?
Seriously...Nascar doesn't favor Junior, if they favored him then he wouldn't have been docked points back in 2004 for cursing in Victory Lane, if he was favored so much then Nascar wouldn't have been getting at him for bump drafting too hard at Dega 4 weeks.
Nascar doesn't favor if. Give it a rest already.

it's not NASCAR, but you see a lot of favortism from NBC.. seriously, last year i swore NBC should stop calling it NASCAR and just all it the dale jr show.
if you ever notice the NBC broadcasters have a theory that jr can do no wrong, even when he fesses up about it..like last week's race?? jr admitted he screwed up and NBC was still defending him..

Junior just 1 of the drivers that " NASCAR favors".You have to add Jeff Gordon,Jimmie Johnson,Kurt and Kyle,Kevin,Tony......
These are the main ones .If you look closer you'll see more.

One of the track officials at Taladega told me that there is a million dollars difference in memorabilia sales when Jr. wins. Then he asked me who I thought he wanted to win.

I thought it was kinda weird when he really needed a caution because he was going to have to pit and all of the sudden their was debris on the track. It kinda makes you wonder.
