Gentle exercise like walking, using hot water bottles or warm hands on your belly and your breasts, taking things gently with yourself, eating a healthy diet low in fatty and greasy foods, with lots of fruit and veg to balance out your system, taking Evening Primrose Oil (this really helps with the sore/lumpy breasts, especially), meditation and deep breathing, and if all else fails, a painkiller like Feminax in the run-up to your period. I try to be grateful that I'm a woman and be proud of my body and its natural functions.. but there's only so far that hippy stuff can take you when you're in pain! :) Every woman in the world suffers just the same way you do. Not a lot of comfort, I know, but you're not alone! Be kind to yourself and allow yourself a little leeway - a bit more chocolate, a day or two in the baggy pants in front of the TV, and a little bit of self-pity. And then you're over it for another month!

Spend some time before you go to bed basking in the moonlight ( preferably outside if its not too cold, otherwise sit by an open window). The moon is yin (female) and her nurturing presence understands your pains as part of the plan of the womans journey through life. When you sit in the moon light and ask for gentle healing with your warm palms of your hands making contact with your womb, taking deep breaths you feel so much better. You can repeat this healing excercise with your warm palms on your breasts, on your head - where ever you hurt. Just ask for healing and breathe! xxx

All I can suggest is Evening Primrose Oil. I used to get bad pre-periods (PMT and the like) and this has really helped me. Hope this helps you.

I was apparently misprescribed ponstan (mefanamic acid) because I get migraines, but it defintely helps wth those and works on the things it's supposed to work on (cramps etc.). It also makes the bleeding lighter and shorter. Only thing it doesn't help is my mood - still get really bad-tempered.

Wear a good support bra and go to bed if you can. I usually can't go to bed though I have a couple little kids running around.
