Like why do spend a long time looking and primping yourself at the mirror for?

Not all women are obsessed about their looks, and those that are, usually need to be because that's the line of work that they're in (models, etc). Also, women, unlike men, are conditioned to be "pretty" and "stay pretty" (superficial more like it), and therefore it's really hard to break from the accepted routine. That said, I for one believe that women are like wine... the older the better :o>

because we want to make the most of it while we have it :P
and it gives us something to talk about. I wouldnt call myself obsessive but I like doing my nails and getting my hair done-its fun. it wouldnt harm some men to spend a little more time in front of the mirror either :D

It's a way of making us feel more comfortable with ourselves. We know that beauty won't last forever but who said that we cannot be as pretty as we can...

Don't have the time, or the patience...but yet, at age 37, I still get hit on all the time. Hmmmmm.... **scratches head in wonder** Maybe that's exactly why!!

I can only speak for myself, and it's pathetic and embarrassing to admit, but it's to attract men. They don't seem to like ugly women.
