good point!!! he grew up with the animals & its not like they shave. You would think he would be really hairy like an animal!!!

Who says he doesn't? I know that most of the actors who have played him in movies haven't had a beard, but, I must confess I've never read any of the books. It may be that he has a beard or it simply isn't commented on in the books.

Because the climate in the jungle is filled with negative chromastics which reduce ones ability of hair growth. There for it is uncommon on animals born hairless to develope much hair on areas usually scarce of hair therefor humans generally only devolpe hair on their heads while naturally hairy animals have such naturally high positive chromastics that they remain hairy. This doesn't effect people who just visit the jungle because they aren't there long enough.
