what test does a doctor do when you are trying to find out if your sterile and would a over the counter ovulation kit say if i was or not

An over the counter ovulation test will just tell you if you are ovulating. And just because you are ovulating, doesnt mean you are sterile. Ovulation just means that your body is relasing an egg, but that doesnt mean that the egg is sterile or not.

There are dozens of different kinds of tests that your doctor can do to tell if you are sterile. And honestly, some of them can be painful. I would suggest making an appointment with your doctor to go over the details privately. It would be best to hear the explainations of the tests from them.

Nope an over the counter ovulation kit doesn't tell you anything other than whether you are ovulating or not at that particular moment in time, if you are having your periods you are obviously ovulating. There are all kinds of tests the doctor will preform to come to a conclusion that you are "sterile".

For a female you would need to go to the doctor. I had test done they put dye through my tubes. I was told 21 years ago that I could not have children now I have twins that are 21/2 years old.
