Depends on the maturity level of the 11 year old and the gender.
Likes and dislikes also come into play.
All I could suggest with this limited knowledge is a gift card to a popular store and then stay involved, make a date to go shopping with them to spend it!!!!

Well if it's a (girly) girl, something like makeup or nail polish would do,maybe something like a gift certificate for a manicure or jewelry. If it's are (tom)boy(ish) get them something like a video game type thing. If they are a kind of person that likes to read, buy them books or puzzles and that also goes for a both genders. But dont, never ask them it takes away their fun! They might ask you what you are going to get just because they think it's what everybody else does! So I hope that helped!

I have my children make a list, starting with what they want the most. They are to write five items. You can then pick from the list, and also give other family members items from the list then your child would receive everything they asked for.

A dairy with invisible ink that comes with a light that helps them to read what they have written. Children at this age get a kick out of this type of thing.
