You can make it that everyone has to sign in before they can use your computer. Of course you can make it so no one but you will know the password. That however will caused them to keep coming to you and will disrupt you a lot. Reset your parental controls and levels that you will allow, also sit down and discuss the time he is allowed on the computer and what you will allow him to search or web site to go to. Educations is better than having him seek around your back. Work together , like you do in everything else . I think you see my point

DUH, put the computer in your bedroom, and lock the door behind you lol Seriously though, I am no computer wizz, but we have one in the family, and he has installed some sort of "lnternet lock" on his so that his own kids cannot go wandering around in cyberspace. If they want to use the computer for a homework project he can lift the blockage giving them access only to certain things tht would relate to their educational needs. You might look into that. I can't get any details from him right now as he's out of state.

Maybe making a time limit for him to be on it? My son always wanted to be on mine too, so I just made certain times for him to be on line, and then I password protected it for the rest of the time.

Be a parent and tell him no. Or, set the computer up with a password so he can't sign on.

Put on a screen saver with a password. That's how I keep my niece off when she comes to visit!

It's according on his age if he's old enough to use it you should let me surf some kid sites, but every household has their rules so you can have a password or unplug it.

Unplug the friggin thing, disconnect the power cord, and lock it up, or take it to work with you. Take the cord to the monitor too, just in case.

FInd something that will catch his interest other then the computer. So just find him a new hobby that he`ll love, and he`ll give up the computer for it.

give him a time limit like 20 min. each hour..........so like say he would go on at 1:30 then he gets off at 1:50

Just tell him, if he doesn't listen to you (assuming hes under 17 years old) then you must of messed up somewhere rasing him.
