i've had many romantic gestures over the years from different men, but what they all have in common is the element of surprise, thoughtfullness, offer of affection, genuineness of giving without expectation of receiving other than to just please me, and sometimes, giving me something i didn't know i needed.
one that really stands out as one of my favorite gestures but other women think i am nutso for loving it was:
for valentines day, my ex-husband picked up my car after i went to work ( i didn't know until the end of the day when i found the card and flowers in my car), took the car and had new tires put on, changed the oil, steam cleaned the engine, washed the car, and detailed the interior. then he left a bouquet on the seat with a great card. these were all things that needed to be done and i knew he did them as a way of showing me he loved me and as a way of taking care of me.

recently my man came home from work with a whole bag of cookies that he made and carved i love u in each and every one of them....and they were all for me!...needless to say i only ate a few becuase they made my teeth hurt from all the sugar....for my bday he bought me a gold chain necklace with a heart pendant that had pink stones in it...i dunno what they were but it was beautiful....he does stuff like this often, it is very sweet
