For example, my parents always want me to call them and tell them where I’m going, what I’m doing and who I’m with. Its reasonable and I really would like to comply but when I am out somewhere I never do. I think that they will get angry or that I will be back in so short of a time that I don’t need to waste efforts in informing them. This has lead to many problems and occasional loss of trust. Can you tell me why I cant do what is right, even though I want to and know what it is?

Just don't forget, quick call, tell them where you are then say you have to go, that's all, your not doing the wrong thing.

Right and wrong is your perception. Everyone has their own view of what is right and what is wrong. There is a common majority of similar beliefs as to what is right and wrong tho. You obviously don't want to call them or you would. Thats all there is too it.

does not telling them make you feel like you are in control? this might possibly be at the root of your problem.
