Does anybobody have any idea what causes error 999 when trying to enter a pool room?

Evidently yahoo doesn't, or at least they wont admit it, all I can get from them is the same canned response, over and over

999 is a broad band error,it is being posted in error..not sure why but i have dial up, so know its wrong.here are some ways that work but may need repeated. Log on to yahoo mail 1st then go to games. This by-passes my yahoo main page and gets you around the 999 error. If you get the error, log off games then go to mail. going through a back door like shove-it. try a different lounge.different id name.all have worked for me at different times.
