what are you good at, any hobbies? try and exploit that. or you could just cold call ask what people want doing, especially now were coming up to winter.

Not much unfortunately. I'm 16 and have handed out more C.Vs than I can count, filled out several application forms, and hadn't had any luck up until two weeks ago when I got asked in for an interview at the one shop I was really interested in. I start work at Waterstones bookshop a week today!
I'm no expert but the best thing I can think of is just hand out loads of C.Vs and fill out any application form you can get hold of, and take any job you're given until a new, better one turns up. The more experience the more likely I'd imagine they'd be to give you a job.

Here are the jobs I did as a teenager (with ages):
11-13: dogwalking
13-14: coffee shop waitress
14-15: hairdresser's assistant (washing hair, sweeping up etc)
15-16: worked in a corner shop; chambermaiding
17-19: worked in Superdrug
I think I missed something out, but you get the idea...

Well how old? Unless you have to, you shouldnt start working until about 16. And then you should work at your favorite clothing store so you can get discounts.
