It's called "u check" it's just a dollar test i picked up at the grocery store....yesterday there was a faint positive...today i retested and it was much darker...has anyone used these and gotten a false positive?

it showed positive as soon as my urine hit the test strip....

i have known people who have used the dollar test from the dollar tree. if it was postitive you are pregnant. they all do work the same. if it were negative then it could be false, because the hormones may not be strong enough. but the test obviously detected the pregnancy hormones so congratulations.

With my last child I used a cheap test and I think I was the same one you are talking about. Well it didn't should up very dark and you had to look real close at it to see it, so I went a got another one and took in the next morning. They say mornings are better for testing. It was much darker in color but still not as dark as the other line, so we went and spend $13 on one and it showed a plus sign. Some tests work better than others and was reading that the First Response is the best one. Hope this helps and Congrads on the baby!

I'd be a little leery of a $1 test. However; you can get false negatives but not false positives. The tests are designed to detect a hormone only present during pregnancy. If it said positive its probably positive.

Those are the kind I used. They were always accurate, when I wasn't pregnant, it was negative and when I was, it showed up right away. From my experience they are very accurate. My sister and sis in law also used them and they were accurate for them as well. They may not show up positive the first time if it is before 4 weeks, but after that, they worked just fine. No. But "EPT" is the best. I learned that I would rather spend extra money on a test then go to the dollar store and have to second guest the results.

A pregnancy test is not the best thing to be cheap with. Just go back to the pharmacy and buy a good one like EPT to confirm the results.

ur prego! it is very rare to get a false positive because it tests for a chemical in you body that is released when you become pregnant.
i have seen a false neg but never a false pos. hope this helps!

No. But if they change after 10 minutes like a pos line shows up you arent supposed to go by it. You should probably test again, or go to see ur Dr.
