has anyone else noticed the continuity lapses........?

Question

in the overall candyman storyline.

candyman 1, when you hear about daniel robetaille(candyman) life, you are told that the hook was rammed into the stump where his hand was.

yet in candyman 3, when it shows you the "full" event, they don't force the hook into his stump, the girl runs away.

then the camera goes back to him, and he dies, there's still no hook there though.

also, in candyman 1, helens husband is practically gutted, and clearly dead in the bath, and then he is at her funeral with his new girlfriend.

i love both films personally, i just feel that these continuity lapses spoil them abit.

also the girl who he was in love with while he was alive has changed between the films, from helen to annie, and he says "it was always you" to both of them

i havent watched the second properly yet, but these lapses are all things that should stay the same throughout the entire trilogy, yet they don't

ahh yeh, my mistake, the onlycontinuity lapse with the end of candyman 1, was to do with me memory of the film lol

Candyman is a fantastic film. I agree with you, there are a few continuity lapses but I have to disagree with you on one of them. Trevor (Helens husband) is killed by Helen herself after he says her name 5 times in the mirror, way after her funeral. Do ya remember, right at the end when she appears and says "What's the matter Trevor? Scared or something?". Then she kills him and his new girlfriend finds him in the bath.
