I would breed your mare at age 5, cuz thats when they're grown up. And I'd aske around, place ads and talk to horse people. Ask for the studs records, if he had a foal before, and how sucsessful the foal is. Hope this helps!

At least three years old, but make sure you're breeding for the right reasons. Just like dogs and cats, there are many unwanted horses out there. Find a stud that will strengthen her weaknesses, without contributing weaknesses of his own. You can get stallion issues of magazines packed with stud ads. Internet searches are also good. You can even import sperm from Europe if your vet will deal with frozen. Good luck.

Maybe ask around or advertise for a stud, most people I know advertise their stud in the paper or horse magazine. It doesn't matter what age you breed your mare, just make sure she isn't a baby.

Should be at least five, done growing herself, so she can reach her full potential. Be in good condition, vacinations and feet in good condition, free of worms and lice, etc. There is a access of horses right now on the market, so I advise holding off for awhile until market gets better. Horses live a average of 25 years, so you'll a long time to decide what is best and to find the perfect match.
