My oldest who is 11 now did this when he was little. I tired everything from a new toy to a new night light but not much worked. It started at 10 months and went till he was almost a year old. His doctor told me just to let him be and if he cries let him cry because if he see you coming in everytime he will get use to it and think it's okay for this to happen.

my guess is he is teething. Then too he might be ready for a more solid food then you are giving him. Try feeding him a solid food like mashed potatoes around supper time or mashed carrots. with the breast or bottle before he goes to sleep it should fill him enough to sleep the night through if he is hungry. If he is teething he needs tender loving care. Try putting some baby teething lotion on his gums.

Relax! He'll soon get used to it. Also, use hypoallergenic free diapers and wipes. These will help him have a good night sleep. Or, check out this site http://www.upkb.com/diapers.php for more tips and details.

play classical music though out the night, it gets them used to sound. If they sleep in complete silence they wake up at evey little noise.
