Yes and no. There are many things I could've done better, and achieved much better results with. So from that perspective being able to go back with my current knowledge sounds tempting.
However, simply because I'm aware of my past shortfalls, does going back with that awareness mean I'm capable of changing my behavior?
It's one thing to make a different decision, but it's another thing entirely to change one's habits and lifestyles, as those are deeply ingrained and take a lot of work to alter. In addition, the so-called mistakes that I've made have taught me some valuable lessons and made me more appreciative when good things happen.
I think the only way I might go back is if I could do it from the beginning, knowing that my parents would be stable, supportive, unconditionally loving, and have a great relationship with one another. The years from 1-6 are the most formative, and the example you're shown has a profound effect on the person you turn out to be.

Knowing what I now know means that if I lived my life over with this knowledge, I wouldn't make the same choices. therefore, my life would be completely different. My choice of mates would be different, I wouldn't have the same kids, I wouldn't work in the same field, I wouldn't be meeting the same friends, etc. My new choices would bring me to a whole different life. So, no, I wouldn't want to change a thing. I have been blessed with my pains and blessed with my joys. I am who I am today because of all that I have experienced..the good and the bad. I've loved the growing into myself, my world, my life. I haven't stopped growing, I make better choices now with hindsight. For me, if I had the choice today to stop and go back or keep on walking, I'd keep on walking! I can't wait to see what's ahead!

Yes and no....I have had many bad experiences over the years. But I do think overcoming all of them has helped mold me into the person I am today. Granted, there are some situations I wish I would have handled differently, but what is truly meant to be will work out in the end.

Of course it would be easy to start over and do everything with knowledge we learn. Though I am young, I understand that the benefit of aging is the wisdom we gain by experience.
Life is about our learning from our mistakes and experiences so that we may take control of future stresses

I'd like to - I would like to pick out my very own parents. I see some awesome parents out there today that have worked so hard at learning about better parenting. I would love to be their kid! :) If I could have had a better start in life - it could have made it so much better! And I would have been a better parent. I was better than mine but I see so many things I wish I could do over again and better - with my kids! Profound question! Good job!

In theory, yes. But at 70 years of age, I wouldn't have the energy to try. And, since absolutes and perfections don't exist, wouldn't you you always be facing different, but still unresolved, issues?

knowing what i know now wouldn't change the actions of others. Perhaps I would be able to escape the sexual abuse, why take the chance of going through it all over again.
