the sooner the isles are split up the better. we can take control at a more local level.. lets face it someone sitting in westminster hardly knows the problems of people living in the outer hebrides etc..
it also means we will have no one to blame but ourselves if we screw up.. and thats why england is scared.. at the moment we're in an illegal war which i'm pretty certain that the other 3/4 of the uk would rather not be part of.

I don't live in any of those countries and never really understood where one begins and the other ends. I think they are all large enough to be on their own except maybe Wales.
There are however many advantages to having only one parliament and I don't know enough about it to tell if the advantages overweigh the disadvantages or not.

I am of the belief that independence for England is the correct way.
It may not benefit this generation but the next one in Scotland would be much better off and in a more socialist-orientated society.
Roll on next May's elections!

As the four constituent terratories of the United Kingdom are not independant countries at all and are indeed one country i believe the 'countries' should be indepentdant. I believe this because as woodrow willson believed all people should have the right to self governance (sp?)

Do you know the Union Jack won the Battle of Britain with the United Kingdom and how the West was won back in world war two?
Did'nt grand-pa tell you "United we stand, Divided we fall"
Little one listen what grand-pa has to say before kicking the butts of the dirty old men in office.

No I think we should stick to being the United Kingdom all kingdoms United at One. I think making the countries independant would leave Britain not so Great and to be honest I can't see this happening anyway well not in my lifetime!

we do have our own Parliament in Wales the Welsh Assembly but we still have to do as we're told by England's Parliament all because we handed over our rights to them a long time ago.
Scotland refused to sign over their rights and still have a say on how they do things

I agree! However, the unionists in Northern Ireland have a "siege mentality" even though they are the majority and would never stand for breaking ties with the U.K. They don't consider themselves Irish. They consider themselves (lol) British!

No. We are all British. We should all stick together (strength in numbers) and stop the invasion of foreigners coming to our shores for a free lunch. I may be Scottish, and proud of it, but i do consider myself British. I don`t hate the English, Welsh, N. Irish. I can`t stand all that crap
