Guess I shouldve made it clear that Im not the one that is looking to move out. Ive been out on my own since I was 16 and that was 21 years ago.

Complete your schooling and graduate. It is hard to get a decent job without that sheepskin. See what you can qualify for in the way of community college financing on your own so you can get better skills to better support yourself and your child. You can move out when you are 18. Chances are, nobody will question it at 17. What you need to do is get all those other people in the house to pick up after themselves. It isn't fair to have you doing it all. Draw up a duty roster and have a family meeting... each person will be assigned to clean up after themselves and then 1 or 2 household maintenance chores... and each thing has to be done on a certain day. Anyone who doesn't comply will be grounded and have to do double the next week. There is no reason why 2 different people can't make dinner each night... pair an older person up with a younger one... to teach... one prepares meat, the other makes a salad and sets the table... you get the idea.

first of all how old are you and are you still in school? if you are under the age of 18 then you shouldnt be thinking of moving out of the house unless you ahve some good reasons to, if you have a job and are able to support yourself then you should go ahead and think about it although legally you cant rent an apartment or house or room you would have to have your parents to sign an the contract since nowhere in the united states are contracts legal until you are 18 but if you really want to move out the house and you have your high school educatrion or your ged then and you are 17 years old then you can take yourself to the local military recruiting office and join the military that way you can get out of your house and find out what life is like

I believe the legal age is 18 in the states. However, it's not only a matter of age, but more so the capabilities of being able to support and take care of yourself. Please dont even consider moving out with someone..........Bad idea...... ;(
