You have to get an artificial light (not including the giant halogen MJ lights) bulbs within a foot of the plant for it to get enough light for photosynthesis to occur at the levels it has to to remain healthy. Use some kind of light you can lower to the plant or raise the plant closer to the light. If you use flourescent tubes you need to get even closer to mimic the sun.

Of course, sunlight is best for plants, but you can mimic the sunlight with fluorescent light bulbs. The sunlight has both warm and cool light waves that benefit the plant, which you can replicate somewhat with a warm (yellow-tinted light) and cool (blue-tinted light) fluorescent light bulbs. You can probably use the new compact fluorescent bulbs for this, and two lamps would be better than one so that you can use both types of bulbs.
