why not they just get together and have heterosexual sex amongst themselves strictly for reproductive reason? Wouldn't that be better than adopting? Of course, the lesbians can actually get artificial insemination.

There are so many children in this world that do not have parents, why would you deny homosexual couples the ability to adopt these children and give them a much needed home? Many lesbian couples do chose to go the way of artificial insemination and others do get sperm donors that they know, however adoption is a great choice for any couple who is unable to conceive on their own.

What is wrong with adoption or artificial insemination to have a child? Even the straight world do this. I am big on the adoption idea, because I was at the age of 5 months.

Well, that might work out really well for some. But I think it'd be impractical. What if custody disputes came up?

You'd potentially have four people involved. OK, this might not be an issue if the biological mother and father were both single, but sooner or later most people want to have that special someone in their lives. Especially the sort of person who would want to create their own family by having kids.

And who would have custody of the child from the beginning? The two Dads? The two Moms? Joint Custody, maybe?

What about legal recognition? Assuming everyone involved worked out an arrangement that they all liked, would it be legally recognized? That type of thing can be important when someone dies, or someone gets sick, or if one of the parents became unfit, or one of the people involved wanted to move out of state.

Having said all of that, it's great if people are able to work through so many obstacles. I would greatly admire them.

I like your pic :)

That happens and has since the beginning of time. It's not the preferred alternative for many for lots of reasons, and there are a number of other alternatives in addition to adoption. It's all a matter of personal preference same as it is for heterosexuals couples that can't conceive. As for adoption... there are lots of kids that need good homes. Why leave them in a seriously lacking social services system?

initially, human beings should not be disillusioned in any respect or perhaps criticize gay couples for adopting. we've already failed at giving infants a perfect early life, and if somebody is prepared to alter that regardless of gender, they might desire to be lauded. human beings ought to suggestions their very own business enterprise and enable human beings be happy. a baby who will get carry of a family contributors, love, compassion, an training, a hug and appreciation on their birthday, mom and dad, pals, and a international does no longer care what intercourse the mum and dad are. they're going to be happy that they are being cared for. human beings ought to look at their issue: on the instant couples are already a large number, i does no longer be stunned if the drawing near era seldom believes in romance and family contributors anymore thinking each and all of the divorces and the unexpected value of quickies. I propose, seem what it has executed to me. It bugs me lots that persons nonetheless see a distinction between sexuality. Who cares? We got here into this damned international a similar way, created via employing a similar technique( till you're a try tube toddler...do those exist?). human beings have the appropriate to do what's ultimate for them regardless of gender or sexuality. And howdy, in keeping with possibility a gay couple can't create a baby no count how lots love they make, yet they might provide like to guy or woman who desires it. Has the international long previous so mad that family contributors and love would not count anymore? additionally, I happen to be on the instant in case you have been questioning.

Not really. For one thing, adoption gives one couple sole custody, whereas if we go with your scenario, the custody gets split. Also, despite what you may think, orphanages and the foster care system really are shitty in this country. If we can give these kids good homes, then it's all worth it. Family isn't just about blood and genetics. Families aren't necessarily born, they're made. I mean, you have parents and people who are legally your closest kin, but it's your choice whether you want to be a part of a family.

Because there are plenty of children in the world who need good parents. Your suggestion would only lead to custody issues and yet another child who is torn between loyalty to 2 parents. So if a couple, gay or straight, is willing to give a child a real home as opposed to foster care, I don't think anything should stand in their way.

Adoption is not always easy. It is often a very difficult process, and sometimes even couples who can provide extremely stable, loving homes get turned down. And then Child Welfare is always complaining that there aren't enough homes for the children in their care. Give me a break!

Unless you are planning on adopting all the orphans in this world, why should you care? It's simply our right to adopt, if we want to. Stay out of our sex lives and stop telling us your suggestions.
