I'm layering up at this point. When I get a bit cool..I think of the high gas bill and go grab a blankie.

I put it on for a couple of hours last night cos I had my g/daughter staying and didn't want her to catch cold after her bath, but other than that I can't afford to run it. I live in an open plan house so all the heat goes upstairs...when it's really cold I sit up there in my tiny spare room - where the comp is :) - with a flask of tea, a thick dressing gown, wooly sox and a cat on my lap for warmth. Not pretty but nor is the way the government treats its pensioners.

its been on for about a week and a half here. i have a 2 year old to keep warm and i feel the cold a lot! we turned the heating right down the other day cos we had a few more people in the house than normal and extra bodies make more heat. next day i was f-f-f-freezing cos we didn't put it back up again!!!!!

Only in the last two days! We've just bought a new house, and I'm having to open windows because it's always so warm, but the one room that is freezing at night is my baby's room, so I'm having to have the heating on for a few hours each night, just to warm his room up.

For those with pets, did you know that when you turn your heating on, that's the time you'll find out if there's fleas in your house! Apparently they hide away until that artificial warmth!

No, I like the heating on - should just put the jumper on though I suppose.

Only the living room fire, the heatings too darn expensive to waste on this weather, I'll have to wait till the ice is on the windows.

Day and Night!!!! I couldn't live here without it being on but I have noticed that everyone living in flats dont have to have theirs on yet and its lovely and warm there. I wish I lived in a flat instead of a house. Last year my bill came to £800. no idea what its going ot be this year but I intend staying warm even if I have to starve.!!

Well we are not feeling cold at the moment. Because we use a system in our house were when we get a shivering feeling, it is time to turn on our heating.
