First, this is the wrong time of year. Print and save these instructions for spring. When your plant is actively growing, cut off several 4-5" long growing tips. (Use several since your failure rate may be high). Strip off all but the 3 top leaves. Dip the stems in rooting hormone and stick them in a light peat-based soil mix. Keep warm, keep out of direct sun, and mist often. When you see new growth beginning at the tips, move them gradually into brighter light. When a whole new leaf has formed, you can carefully lift the shoot and transplant it into a 4" pot to grow on. Keep in sun; keep moist but not soggy. Fertilize weekly with all-purpose fertilizer. By midsummer you should be able to plant your juvenile outdoors. Good luck!

Try rooting a small green branch. The more woody it is the harder it will be to root.

I have had zero luck rooting woody shrubs.

Zilch.
