Personally I don't think that Dumbledore is coming back. He's gone. People have a hard time dealing with it because he was one of the more dynamic and awesome characters in the book (nitwit blubber oddment tweak!!). His portrait appeared in the headmaster's office for goodness' sake. Also, aren't phoenixes supposed to be immortal? You can't kill them...and Nearly Headless Nick said that ghosts are a shadow of their formal selves and basically that it's a cowards way out (Nick was afraid of death). Doesn't quite seem Dumbledore's style. If you read nothing else of my predictions, #2 and #5 refer to Dumbledore as well. Additional Predictions: 1 - Will Harry die? - Possibly because JK Rowling said that she was never tempted to kill him before the seventh book but I think he'll pull through. 2. What about Snape? Good or evil? - Evil, even if by some freak chance Dumbledore manages to come back (which he won't) Snape had to keep his unbreakable vow and he had the intent to kill Dumbledore. The unbreakable vow is another reason I believe Dumbledore to be dead. If Dumbledore lives then Snape's vow is broken because Malfoy's mission was not completed so Snape will die if Dumbledore lives. 3. Will Ginny and Harry end up together? - Yes, if he lives then he has to end up with someone and it's not going to be Cho. 4. Will Hermione and Ron get married? - Not married but there will be additional romantic interest. Possibly an engagement but I don't think that the actual marriage will be in it. 5. Will Dumbledore come back to life? - No but I think Sirius will come back. a. While they were dueling the last spell his cousin sent at him was red (most likely stupify) b. It does not say that he was hit with the killing curse. c. There's a lot of unknown about the curtain so I think it's possible. 6. What is my favorite quote from the books? - One of them is from Book #1 School Song "Our heads could do with filling, with some interesting stuff, cause now they're bare and full of air, dead flies and bits of fluff!" 7. Will Draco Malfoy die? - No, I think he'll live and switch sides. 8. Will any other characters die? - I want to say no but something inside me says yes. Possibly Hagrid or Ginny. *Hopes it's not true*

I think so many people want to believe Dumbledore is gonna come back to life because Harry Potter without Dumbledore is like Harry Potter without magic. I think Harry will use the same power to defeat Voldermort that happened when Harry was a baby (his mum dying to protect harry.. Harry will die protecting the people he cares about most which will defeat Voldermort)

Who cares if it's make believe? Some people enjoy it. Are you saying no one can ever discuss anything that didn't actually happen throughout human history? Wow, you lead one hell of a boring life...
Okay- to the question:
I'm not sure if dumbledore will come back alive per se, but I do think that as with all the other Hogwarts headmasters, he will have a portrait in the head masters office, and hopefully Harry will be able to have some advice from Dumbledore there.

I was sad when Sirius disappeared too, in addition to Dumbledores death, but Harry needs to fight the final fight on his own. The story is like a parable of real life, just like Lord Of The Rings, good against evil, the perils of growing up, etc... The books have been a good story, but don't take it so seriously. Life happens, ya know? Enjoy it for what it is.

Because Dumbledore is one of the great ficticious characters, Only really bettered by Gandalf, Tom Bombadill, Pippin, Samwise, Treebeard, Gimli, Bilbo and Bob Grey aka Pennywise the clown.

I believe he will return to assist Harry Potter, infact I believe there will be many of the main characters helping Harry to fight against Voldermorte, and the DE's. I can't wait for the final book, I am sure it will be wonderful and filled with many surprises.
