Is there any way to take the movies off of youtube.com, and save them to your computer? That is, besides a screen recording program. I don't mean favoriting or anything, I mean actually saving the file to your computer.

There are sites which do this (like keepvid.com) but Youtube changes their setup weekly to prevent such sites from working properly... Here's a link explaining how to save the .flv files..

Yeah, actually the videos are downloaded to the computer already so the next time u play it, it will just play and not download slowly and then play. The You Tube video files is in your Temporary Internet Files if using Internet Explorer. First install a FLV Player:

http://www.download.com/flv-player/3000-...

Then go to yur temporary Internet Files Folder. Control Panel->Internet Options (Under Classic View). In the General Tab click Settings and then View Files. You will see a set of files. On the top u will see it is arranged Name, Internet Address, Type, Size Etc. Click The "Type" Tab and the files will arrange in alphabetical order under "Type" Tab. If u see any Files starting with .FLV or .SWF. Those are the files. Better yet Also click the size tab and if u see any big file sizes, those are it cause videos take up space. You can kno if is You tube if u watch the internet address in both cases. Copy and paste or move the files to a different location and thats it. If the file is just a file alone, just type in.flv after the name and You hav yur videos. Laterz.

Go to YouTubia.com to save YouTube videos.

Other stream saving tools I'd recommend are URL Snooper and Replay A/V.
