you should just go into school and tell your teacher the problem and tell them that you just don't understand it. teachers are there to help you and not give you detention for not underdtanding something.
if your teacher shouts at you after you tell them what happened, then they are a bad teacher and you should tell someone higher but not as high as the headteacher but if you do have good connections with the head, then yes go to them.

Always be honest, you forgot your homework? admit it, it happens

didnt understand it, ask for help.

"im sorry miss, I have completed my homeowrk, but i am not happy with it, could i pls have some more time to improve it", i know its a bit cheesey but it works, honest.

or just take the detention, but if letters start being sent etc. then get off your **** because its obviously effecting your learning, and it will go on record etc.

dont skip homework to often, once in a while they wont care, even if you give a cr*p excuse

Hei this kinda problem? Then I'm the guy to look for....

You should play with your teacher's emotions. Here are the list of things that you can tell her:

1) Mam, I'm sorry but I am having some problems with my friend.(Here you need a posy). Then come up with some **** and bull story abt how you guy fought and quarrelled and that you couldn't concentrate.

2) Your parents are always fighting... You are affected by the noise that they create and the worse part is they don't let you go out- so that means you can't go to the library or some place quiet.

You will have to play a lil drama but hey it helps man!

The dog ate my homework.....It's true, I had to force him but he ate it!

I stayed up all night doing my homework so when I got on the bus this morning I was tired and fell asleep. I was woken up at my stop in such a hurry that I leapt of the bus and left my homework on it.

I was mugged on the way to school by people who specialise in the homework black market.

I did my homework but I loaned it to my friend to copy and they haven't returned it yet

I am still waiting for the people on Yahoo answers to complete it for me.

Homework? we had homework??

Which is worse, the homework or the detention? The detention probably takes less time.

Take the detention on the chin. Chances are that if you're honest they'll be so surprised you haven't made something up they'll be more lenient with you. And you'll have the time in the detention to do the homework.

Somebody was ill in the family so you had to help with that and had to go away to be with them. Left your books at home and only got back today at 12am.

Or just get help with your homework now. Ask your parents to help you. Check for help on the net.

You could be doing your homework just now you have plenty of time. Remember Miss will have heard all the excuses before.

Instead of asking time wasting questions sit down now and do some homework you have to do it in the long run and you will feel better if you start now.

You should ask for help with your homework instead of how to get out of doing it....
