how old do you have to be to get a workers permit in illinois? And what other requirements are there?

Im 14 and want to get a part time job as soon as possible besides babysitting becuase thats what im doing now. Im not sure if you have to be 16 or not becuase my friend just turned 15 and got his workers permit a couple days ago. Any information would be good. thanks = ]

you have to be 15 to get a worker's permit for non-agricultural jobs
The age is less for agricultural jobs.
