My Dad say that if you look in the mirror while it dark and have a candle or a small light that if you keep on staring at yourself in the eyes that you will other faces right by yours. ( He said he try it and it worked)

I can't say if they're ghosts or not, or if its your imagination because your dad said it would happen so it was on your mind. I know that there are plenty of things you can do with candles and mirrors in the dark to see things. One of the things (which i'd have to read from a book again) says something about using 2 mirrors, and a candle, and some length of time and you'll see the one that you're supposed to marry. A friend who recently got married said they had tried it and it is who they had seen, but, she may be lying or it could be true. Who you saw may be ghosts, your imagination, or possibly even other people that are living, too bad you couldn't talk to them and get responses

my first conclusion is paranoia from what i have read and its based upon your mother, you are almost expecting things to happen so your brain is making it seem like all of this is happening. Paranoia affects not only your judgment but also your short term memory making it seem as if something has really vanished and then reappered although it could still be in front of you. Now dont get me wrong i believe in ghost enough that i am the founder of Somerville Paranormal Investigators, and not just some close minded idealist. There are a few ways however to be able to determine if these things are really occuring or really are all in your head. 1. EVP- Electronic Voice Phenomenon which is basically you grabbing a tape recorder preferrably digital and when the house it quiet let it record. 2. Record your house with a video camera doesnt matter if your there or not day or night and change its location often. let us know the results should take about two days to gather sufficent data

It's an old urban legend. When I was a kid, there was a variation that if you looked went into the bathroom when it was totally dark after midnight and gazed into the mirror you would see something so horrible that you would drop dead from fright.

Did your Dad say he tried it after he had a few beers? Or when he took off his glasses? Or when your Mom came up behind him?
Every morning when I get up I see a ghost in the mirror!

yep it is true i have done it and i too have seen ghost they are some times standing behind me some times right in front of me and some times they are right beside me it is so cool ghost are awesome that is if they are here to help not harm :)

They could also be your spirit guides and possibly angels. Not all angels appear to us with wings.
