I realise they're fairly harmless but even since I was a child I've just freaked out about being around live ones. It's something I feel is almost out of my control currently. I remember at 5 walking through a area full of butterflies at a zoo and they weren't a concern so it started later than this. I think it relates to an incident in my past somewhere concerning moths probably but I can't remember what.

No phobia here but I do not like them. Isn’t it funny that butterflies are not as awful as moths? ↔
