ok i got a sony vaio pcg-r505, its the style that came w/ a docking station and i misplaced it...my father made the mistake of installing xp on top of 2000 pro so we had to start all over w/ it. now, i gotta upgrade my bios to support the upgraded drivers and i dont have a floppy to finish up the operation. any ideas on how i can override this step? the driver that i need is for the graphics control cause rite now my xp runs in a small box and the rest of my screen is blank. any help would be great as i think ive thought of all my possibilities.

Does the BIOS come in any other format besides a bootdisk? I know dell lets you run the BIOS flash utility from within windows, and restarts itself, without involving any floppy disk. Other than that, you might try buying a USB floppy drive from ebay for $10 or so. However, this would only work given that your BIOS supports the USB controller as a bootable device
