UK: and most likely everywhere else: Whenever the common man saves some money, the 'elite' plan a way of getting it into their pockets. The government taxes on cigarettes have at last successfully made the common man stop smoking. Therefore, he suddenly realises that he is saving an extra £20 per day. Now the government want it. They are going to further tax everything using global warming as the excuse. Everything, including street parking, motor tax etc., and even the cheap airline tickets are in for a bashing. Meanwhile, the 'elite' drive their company cars, pay little or no tax as most of their finances are in off-shore accounts, park where they like, as parking tickets are tax deductable on company cars, smoke large cigars, drink the best and when they need a pee, they stand on their lofty towers and pee down on the common man. (My mother once said that I was a Communist - which I am not). But that is life for the common man - dare I say it - start a revolution................
